Pain management
From orthopaedic disease to soft tissue pain associated with injury or surgery, there are a wide range of situations than warrant pain relief in dogs. As in humans, there are a range of approaches that may be taken, although some types of human medication can prove toxic, the use of appropriate prescribed veterinary anti-inflammatory and analgesic medications (painkillers) plays a vital role in relieving pain in our canine patients. Always consult your veterinary practice if you suspect your dog may be in pain.
Animal medicines should always be used responsibly. For more information on responsible use please visit the NOAH pages on this topic.
