Vet Surgeons, Don’t Miss Out on a MSD Animal Health Research Bursary
Milton Keynes, October 16, 2019 – The deadline is getting close for vet surgeons to apply for a 2019 MSD Animal Health, a division of Merck & Co., Inc., Kenilworth, N.J., USA, Research Bursary. There are three awards on offer; two ruminant bursaries and one companion animal bursary, of up to £4,000 each. Applications must be in by 29 November 2019.
Michelle Townley, Veterinary Advisor at MSD Animal Health comments: “With vet surgeons facing new challenges all the time it’s vital they take the opportunity to develop new skills throughout their career. Our research bursary supports vet surgeons in doing this. New knowledge and good research skills form the lifeblood of the industry so we’re keen to get as many applications as possible as part of our commitment to encouraging research in the veterinary industry.”
Each project should be completed within one to two years and the vet practitioner proposals will be judged by university academics to ensure independent assessment. The Companion Animal Research Bursary will be assessed by the University of Nottingham Centre for Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine and the Ruminant Research Bursary applications will be assessed by academic staff from the University of Bristol School of Veterinary Science.
